At Leather Nova, we are committed to delivering a smooth, elegant, and reliable shopping experience. Product quality and customer satisfaction are central to our mission. This policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds are handled, in compliance with applicable European regulations.


🛍️ 1. Right of Withdrawal (EU Customers)

If you are located in the European Union, you benefit from a 14-day legal withdrawal period, starting from the day you physically receive your order. You may exercise this right without providing a reason.

Please note: the withdrawal period begins after delivery and is independent of the order preparation or shipping time.

⚠️ Conditions of withdrawal

  • The product must not be used and must be returned in a condition suitable for resale.
  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged.
  • Original packaging, tags, boxes (e.g. shoe box, dust bag) must be intact and included.

To initiate a withdrawal, please email us at info@leathernova.com with the subject “Return Request” and your order number.


2. Order Preparation & Delivery Time

Some of our products require a short preparation period prior to shipment to ensure quality control.

  • Orders may require 1 to 3 business days for preparation before dispatch.
  • Preparation time is not included in the carrier’s delivery time.
  • Once the order is shipped, tracking details will be provided by email.

Delivery times indicated on the website are estimates and may vary depending on destination, carrier, customs procedures, or peak periods.


3. Return Timeframes by Product Category

Return windows vary depending on the product type:

Leather goods (Italian leather) Up to 30 days
Ready-to-wear / footwear Up to 14 days
Lingerie & underwear Return only if defective or unopened with hygiene seal intact
Sale items (FINAL SALE) Non-returnable

Return periods begin on the delivery date as indicated by the carrier’s tracking system.


🚚 4. Return Shipping Costs

  • Return shipping costs are borne by the customer, unless the return is due to our error or a proven defect.
  • Packages returned “postage due” will not be accepted.
  • International customers: customs charges, duties, and original shipping fees are non-refundable.
  • A prepaid return label may be offered in eligible cases (maximum one per order).

Estimated return shipping costs (when not covered):

  • EU (outside Belgium): from €15
  • United Kingdom: €20 + potential customs fees
  • Outside EU: €30 + customs fees

Important:

Complimentary delivery is available across most European countries.

For certain destinations — including Finland, Norway and Sweden — standard shipping rates may apply. Exact shipping costs are calculated and displayed transparently at checkout before payment.

Please note that free shipping promotions apply to the initial outbound shipment only and do not cover return shipping costs.


📸 5. Defective Items or Delivery Errors

If your item is:

  • Defective,
  • Damaged during transit,
  • Incorrect (wrong size, model, or color),

Please notify us within 48 hours of receipt and include:

  • A detailed description of the issue
  • Clear photos or videos showing the problem

Once your claim is validated, Leather Nova will cover the return shipping costs and may provide a prepaid return label.

Claims submitted after 48 hours may not qualify for automatic refund or exchange.


6. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned for safety, hygiene, or product-specific reasons:

  • Lingerie, underwear, bodysuits (unless defective and unopened)
  • Earrings and pierced jewelry
  • Gift cards
  • Personalized or custom-made products
  • Items marked “FINAL SALE”
  • Used, washed, damaged, or altered products

🔁 7. Return Procedure

To start a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact us at info@leathernova.com with:
    • Your order number
    • Item(s) concerned
    • Reason for the return
    • Photos if relevant
  2. Wait for our written approval with return instructions.
  3. Prepare your parcel using the original packaging and including all accessories and tags.
  4. Ship the parcel with a trackable and reliable carrier.
  5. Once received and inspected, we will confirm whether the return is accepted.

💸 8. Refunds

If your return is approved, the refund will be issued within 5 to 10 business days via the original payment method.

  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable (unless due to our error).
  • If the returned item does not meet the conditions, no refund will be granted.
  • In some cases, refunds may be issued as a store credit valid for 12 months.

🧾 9. Unclaimed or Refused Parcels

If a parcel is returned due to non-collection, incorrect address, or unjustified refusal, return or reshipping costs will be deducted from any applicable refund.


🛡️ 10. Liability

Leather Nova cannot be held responsible for:

  • loss of the return parcel by the customer’s chosen carrier,
  • returns made without prior authorization,
  • items damaged due to insufficient packaging.
