📝 Return & Refund Policy

In accordance with European legislation, we have implemented a clear and precise return policy adapted to the diversity of our catalog — including leather bags, ready-to-wear, lingerie, accessories, and more.

🛍️ 1. Right of Withdrawal (EU customers)

As a consumer located in the European Union, you have a legal right of withdrawal of 14 days from the date you receive your order. This right allows you to notify us—without justification—of your wish to cancel your purchase.

⚠️ Conditions:

• The product must not have been used.
• It must be returned in its original condition, unworn, unwashed, and undamaged.
• The original packaging, tags, and boxes (e.g., shoe box, eyewear pouch, etc.) must be intact and included.

⏳ 2. Return timeframes by product category

At Leather Nova, return timeframes vary by product category to ensure optimal processing:

Timeframes are calculated from the delivery date indicated by the carrier’s tracking.

🚚 3. Return shipping costs

• Return shipping costs are borne by the customer, except in the event of our error or a proven defective item.
• No returns will be accepted “postage due”.
• For international returns, customs duties, taxes, and original shipping fees are not refundable.
• For certain eligible products, we may provide a prepaid return label (limited to one per order).

Indicative fee schedule when return is not covered:

• EU outside Belgium: from €15
• UK: €30 + potential customs fees
• Outside EU: €45 + customs fees

📸 4. Defective items or delivery errors

If you receive an item that is:

• Defective,
• Damaged during transport,
• Different from what was ordered,

Please contact us within 48 hours of receipt with a precise description and clear photos as evidence.
We will cover return shipping costs only after validating the claim. A prepaid label may be provided.

❗ Any defect reported after 48 hours may not be eligible for automatic exchange or refund.

❌ 5. Non-returnable products

For hygiene, safety, or product-specific reasons, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

• Fine lingerie, underwear, bodysuits
• Earrings, piercings
• Personalized or made-to-order items
• Gift cards
• Items that are worn, washed, or altered
• Products marked “FINAL SALE”

🔁 6. Full return procedure

Please follow these steps to request a return:

1. Contact us at info@leathernova.com and provide:

   • Order number
   • Item(s) concerned
   • Reason for return
   • Photos if necessary
2. A written approval from our team will be sent with the return address or label.

3. Prepare your parcel:

   • Original packaging required
   • Include the printed return authorization
4. Ship the parcel with a reliable, trackable carrier.
5. Upon receipt and inspection, you will be informed whether the return is accepted.

💸 7. Refunds

Once the return is approved, the refund will be issued within 5 to 10 business days, according to your original payment method.
Some refunds may be issued as a store credit, usable on a future order (valid for 12 months).

Please note:

• No refund will be issued for original shipping fees (except in case of our error).
• If the returned product is incomplete, used, or outside the allowed timeframe: no refund will be granted.

🧾 8. Unclaimed orders / refused on delivery

If a parcel is returned due to:

• recipient absent,
• parcel not collected in time,
• refusal to accept without justification,

We will withhold reshipping or return costs, which will be deducted from any refund due. For a reshipment, these costs will be at your charge.

Leather Nova assumes no liability in the event of:

• loss of the return parcel by the carrier chosen by the customer,
• parcel damaged upon arrival without prior proof,
• return made without prior authorization.
